Exclusive Beach…for birds!
The piping plovers have it made: Â their own private beach from 40th Street to 57th Street in Avalon.
The designated area is along the dune line with posted signs- hopefully the birds understand and appreciate the effort  😉

Beachwalker Report
The new sand pumped on to the Stone Harbor beaches is in good shape- even after the quick moving Nor’easter last Tuesday.
In Avalon, the project is set to resume by early next week, adding new sand from 32nd Street and north to 9th Street.

Yes, Â although we LIVE (and work) in a resort town, I appreciate the opportunity to take a quick vacation break before the busy season.
