Mild temperatures, less wind, and SUNSHINE.
The weekend storm caused some beach erosion. Â But, thanks to recent beach fill projects, the damage was not devastating. Â The extra sand created a solid buffer for our beaches and dunes.

Okay, it’s official…I miss the sun!  This Nor’easter is not only inconvenient (canceling Columbus Day weekend events) , it’s also causing sand shifting along our beach front.  I posted pictures yesterday, and again this morning on Twitter (see link on right hand side of the page).
I was up early, and able to walk before the rain.  The wind was blowing me, and the sand down the beach.  Stone Harbor Point will likely extend a few more feet into the inlet  after the weekend!
The bonus of stormy weather? Amazing views.
Sunset picture taken Tuesday evening; the sunrise pictures (surrounded by blowing sand and ocean foam!) Wednesday morning.
No walk this morning- wimped out with the heavy rain 😉

Talked  with several summer neighbors yesterday. We are all grateful for this amazing stretch of weather, and “working hard” to take advantage…knowing that cold temperatures will eventually arrive.
Every time I rinse off my beach chair or kayak, I wonder if it’s the last use for 2013? Â And then I hurry out again the next day (often bright and early before work) to fit in one more activity!
Yesterday’s adventures included a paddle around Stone Harbor Point (yes, that’s North Wildwood across the inlet). Â The ocean was calm…and warm!
Taking advantage of this amazing weather.
On my day off yesterday, I kayaked in the bay, took a walk, and spent some quality time in my beach chair 😉 Â This morning, I kayaked in the ocean before work.
Oh…the burdens of living at the shore!
This house offers options- a terrific spot to build a new home (approximately 3500 square feet)…or use the current well maintained home.
