  • Borough of Avalon Rental Registration

There’s some confusion with notices from the Borough of Avalon Licensing Department regarding rental registrations.

With the system now fully on line, there is an opportunity to complete the required registration for the 2027 season.

In prior years, these notices were mailed out in the fall. The new system will allow landlords to process the paperwork at their convenience well in advance of the new year.

  • Avalon NJ- beach update

The sand back passing project this spring initially allowed the north end beach paths to open, however, the storms over the Memorial Day weekend caused further erosion.

The Borough of Avalon had to make the decision to close the damaged paths for safety reasons.

There is an established walking path that runs along the dune line for access to 9th Street and 15th Street for the open/guarded beach locations.

The post on the Borough’s web site states that the beach access situation is unlikely to change until after the planned beach fill this summer.

  • Signs of Spring!

Every weekend, we see more seasonal shops and restaurants re-opening.

The street trees along the business district are in full bloom. Our windy days ahead will create “spring flurries” of the white flowers.

Only 5 more weeks until Memorial Day weekend 🙂

  • Signs of Spring!

I drove past a golf cart on Dune Drive this morning (although the passengers were noticeably bundled up against the cold temps!)

And Hoy’s 5 & 10 in Avalon is back open for the season.

Summer is just around the corner 🙂
