I’m Away from my Desk…
Yes, Â although we LIVE (and work) in a resort town, I appreciate the opportunity to take a quick vacation break before the busy season.
I will be back on duty at the office on Sunday March 12th!

When the sand pelting your jacket sounds like freezing rain, it’s time to re-think the beach walk!

Stone Harbor Beach Fill- Update
As of this morning, new sand is being pumped on to Nuns’ Beach (111th through 113th Streets).
The dredging company is working around the clock, and will continue to move north along the Stone Harbor beach.
Fascinating to watch the process from one of the nearby beach paths!

February Spring!
Another picture perfect day for a beach walk! Â Check out the practical “parking lot” for bikes and strollers along the 44th Street dune path 🙂
Starting to see “opening soon” signs on the doors of island businesses- that’s encouraging.
In the meantime, Uncle Bill’s in Avalon is closed for a few weeks for renovations. Â Will have to find another go to spot for Friday breakfast!
