A beautiful winter day- warm sunshine and no wind (my views this morning from the 8th Street jetty in Avalon).
Great time to make plans for the summer. Â I will be working all weekend to help! Â 609-967-7950 Â or ann@anndelaney.com

We expect a busy weekend with prospective tenants. Â The streets are clear and dry, but the snow has yet to melt around the homes. Â Wear your boots!
It’s already up to 20 degrees (9am). Â With no wind and the warm sun, it actually feels mild outside.
Unless your shore property is completely winterized (all interior water drained, and anti-freeeze added to the toilets, washer, etc.), you should take the time to check your home this weekend. Â The temperatures will be well above freezing, so you will know if there are any issues with frozen pipes.
We LIVE here and had a pipe freeze in our 2nd floor master bath (a hand held sprayer). Â Thankfully, we were able to turn up the heat, and the pipe defrosted before any damage occurred.
A nice beach day view. Unfortunately, with a brisk wind and a high temperature of 18 degrees!

Yesterday, walking around New York City…and this morning, back on the beach. Â Grateful for more moderate temperatures today!
It was barely 20 degrees yesterday, yet NYC was hopping. Â As we maneuvered around the crowds in Times Square, I was comparing it to my typical winter walk along a deserted beach. Â Just slightly different 😉
Based on personal sightings, there are at least 2 Snowy owls on 7 Mile Beach. Â One has taken up residence at Stone Harbor Point, and another spotted in the Avalon high dune area, (and flying down along the southend beach).
Yesterday, we saw one at 83rd Street (perched on the fence post by the path). Â This one looked smaller than others, so guessing it may be a third owl??
Picture below is blurry- taken yesterday at the Point. Â Better pictures on my January 2nd, and January 10th blog posts.
Yes…another cold day at the shore. Â Yes…that’s ice on the beach. Â Yes…we are officially ready for more reasonable weather to return!
