    For Spring Cleaning:

    Bulk Trash Pick Up- in Avalon May 5th through May 14th; and Stone Harbor by Monday May 15th.

    Household hazardous waste collection- May 13th  See details HERE

    Beach Tags:

    Purchase seasonal tags for $23 each by May 31st.  Cost increases to $28 as of June 1st.  Tags are reciprocal between Avalon and Stone Harbor.

    Rental Property Owners:

    Confirm your spring cleaning, change over cleaning, lawn and pool maintenance, and weed control.  Take stock of amenities (kitchen supplies, bed covers, pillows, throw rugs, and deck furniture). All rental properties must be registered and pass an annual licensing inspection with the Borough.

    General Tips:

    Service your HVAC systems, vacuum return registers, clean ceiling fans, rinse out trash cans, wash deck furniture, clean the outside shower, buy new clothes pins for the line, clean the grill, and wash windows/screens.

    The warm weather inspires us all to get moving on our “to do” list!

    This  grassroots organization continues to make a difference in the lives of local families facing the trials of pediatric cancer.

    There are several great events scheduled for 2017-

    1) Friday May 5th- the 12th Annual Golf Tournament at Stone Harbor Golf Club

    2) Saturday July 29th- the 7th Annual Low Tide Beach Ride (9th Street beach at 6:30pm)

    3) Tuesday August 1st- the 17th Annual Artists and Friends Art Show at the Avalon Yacht Club

  • Seasonal Beach Tags

    For property owners (and visitors staying for 2 weeks or more), this is your annual reminder to purchase seasonal beach tags at the pre-season discounted rate.

    Tags purchased before June 1st are $23 each; after June 1st, the standard price of $28 applies.

    As in past years, the tags allow you to “cross the border” between Avalon and Stone Harbor!

    The municipalities also offer weekly ($12) and daily ($6) tags through the summer season.

  • Spring Clean Up?

    Options to help you declutter and refresh your shore house:

    Bulk Trash pick up- Avalon and Stone Harbor have scheduled pick up dates to dispose of household items.

    Avalon– items placed on the curb fromMay 5th to May 14th will be picked up starting Monday May 15th.

    Stone Harbor– pick up Monday, May 15th (items to the curb up to 72 hours before).

  • Beachwalker Report

    The new sand pumped on to the Stone Harbor beaches is in good shape- even after the quick moving Nor’easter last Tuesday.

    In Avalon, the project is set to resume by early next week, adding new sand from 32nd Street and north to 9th Street.
