Based on reports from local business people, Memorial Day weekend was a huge success. Owners and visitors filled the island, spent money in shops and restaurants, and enjoyed beautiful beach weather.
The “regulars” were back on the beach with me this morning!

Blue crab on the ocean side?
I know, I thought it was odd, too. We saw at least 5 in the tide pools around the jetty.
Your companions were thinking: “The shoobies are gone and it’s safe to come out again!”
