The dredge was moved from the inlet, and the beach fill equipment has been idle for several days. Â The clock is ticking and I know the dredging company and the Borough of Stone Harbor expect completion of the project by Memorial Day. Where (which street) is the equipment today? I’m trying to anticipate which beaches will be affected for Memorial Day weekend.
Equipment still at staging area just south of 123rd Street parking lot. When pumping resumes, they only close a few blocks at a time. If they are already north of your beach, a sand walk over will be created to cross over the pipe. It’s an interesting process and kids find it especially exciting.
