Brendan Borek High Tides Memorial Fund
I am proud to support the Brendan Borek Endowment Fund at Children’s Hospital.
The fund was specifically established to help pediatric cancer patients and their families in Cape May and Atlantic Counties.
On May 4th, their 13th Annual Golf Tournament will be held at Stone Harbor Golf Club.

Getting warmer!
Morning beach walk sighting- Â I believe we saw a bald eagle on the beach at Stone Harbor Point.
One clue: it took flight while we were still blocks away. Â It looked too large to be a seagull- plus the gulls will let us almost trip over them- no fear of humans!

Beach Weather?
How cold is it? Â My Christmas cactus is seriously starting to bloom again!
Thankfully, temperatures closer to 60 degrees are forecasted for the next few days (subject to that chilly sea breeze of course).

Multi-tasking
The Delaney’s welcomed yet another baby boy to our family over the weekend.
Nan and Pop are caring for the 18 month old BIG brother until the new parents and baby are discharged.
I appreciate the patience of my customers until I return to my regular work (and sleep!) schedule 😊

Spring Wardrobe
Out of the wind…facing the sun…not too bad!
When I leave my house (or office) for a walk along the beach, I often think I’m over dressed.
Yet once the brisk spring “breeze” greets me at the path…I’m grateful for my winter coat, hat, and gloves!

Easter Weekend
Welcome back!
Businesses re-open and property owners return to the island to prepare for the season.
And although I am still wearing my winter jacket for morning beach walks, I’m spotting flip flops, shorts, and light sweatshirts on others 😎

After the Snow
The nor’easter caused some additional beach erosion, but not more significant than past winter storms.
In sections where the high tide reached the dunes, the access paths will need to be repaired for safe access. Â In other areas along the beach, the snow by the dunes sits undisturbed (the high tide line is the edge of the snow).
The streets are already clear, and we are looking forward to an improved weather cycle for the weekend!

Shore town tides
We were visiting with friends in Wildwood Crest last evening, and based on their home’s proximity to the bay, I asked if the area floods.
The owner (a long time Crest resident, and a boat captain) quickly corrected me: Â “We don’t have flooding, we have tides. Every day, there are two high tides, and two low tides. Â And some tides are just higher than others.”
Now that’s a great perspective 🙂
