HOME 🙂

10pm- It was a creative entry- no vehicles permitted, so residents had to leave their car on the other side of the bridge, show ID, and request a police escort (or walk to your home).

Grateful to see our home intact, and no sign of “Sandy”. Will be anxious to inspect more in the daylight, and of course walk around the area.

In the meantime, we have heat, electric, and even cable. Incredible.

We are heartbroken for those who experienced damage. That reality will be more evident in the next few days.

Very glad to hear you had no damage. Can you tell me where your house is located.
I am very concerned about our property and hope to visit soon. As far as you know will your creative entry be available tomorrow as well. Did you need proof of residence?

May be full access tomorrow. In the meantime, we can’t bring our car in. This alternative was only available for full time residents. Will post what I know tomorrow.
If you email me your address, I can try to walk around it. ann@anndelaney.com

    Hi Ann

Found your blog. From MA. Have friends (Jon and Merry Atwood) who run Sun n Sand Motel on 102nd St. Haven’t been able to contact them. Many of us used to stay at motel every summer. Just want to make sure they’re safe. If you know them or go by their motel, sure would appreciate it if you would get back to me. Several of us are concerned. Thanks!

I’m feeling optimistic that things aren’t awful as they seem in other parts of the Jersey Shore. Was turned away from entering yesterday along the same lines. Not sure where on the island you are, but if you’re nearby – any chance you might be able to check on 108th & 2nd ave and let me know if the water reached that area?

Walked by the 102nd St area earlier, and people outside cleaning up. Think all is okay – just busy.

Year round owners near that area (on the bay) had water in their garage and ground level foyer. Otherwise, no water in the house. Their yard was thick with marsh reeds and debris. Many bay homes had dock damage and some lost floating docks. Email the address and I can walk around the house ann@anndelaney.com
