Even during the busy summer season, it’s possible to find a quiet place on the island.
The inlet section of Avalon (along the jetty, or closer to the bay). Stone Harbor Point. Â Kayaking in the back bay (near the marsh where it’s too shallow for boats). Â An early morning beach walk (although this morning, we had to share the shoreline with a few others!) Â And, the sunrise surfers/paddle boarders don’t seem to mind the lack of waves…just hanging with the dolphins!
