During the past 30 days (which included an interruption from Sandy), a total of 24 properties SOLD (settled). Â The final selling prices ranged from $417,000 for a basic cottage located over the 21st Street bridge in Avalon; to $2,600,000 for a newer beach block home on 115th Street in Stone Harbor.
The median selling price was $855,000.
In addition, there are 56 properties sale pending; with settlement scheduled to occur within the next few months.  The median asking price for those sale pending is $995,000.

FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) is coordinating displaced hurricane survivors with temporary housing. Most survivors who may be able to temporarily relocate to Cape May County are single persons or couples, since families with kids choose to remain in their school districts.

That wonderful sea breeze in the summer months literally turns on us in the winter…and becomes WIND!
Yet still worthwhile to bundle up, turn your face to the warm sun, and breathe in the fresh salt air.

A long list of family friendly activities and events in Avalon today (11am to 4pm).  Stop by the Power Play Realty office – we are giving away our logo drawstring backpacks.
At 5pm, join your shore neighbors for the annual Christmas tree lighting at the circle (Veteran’s Plaza)- with live music starting at 4pm.
Later in Stone Harbor, it’s hospitality night along 96th Street.

This year, a day of thanks with even more meaning.
Our shore neighbors continue the clean up and restoration of their homes and businesses.  It will be an especially difficult holiday season for many.
Residents in towns farther north face the overwhelming task of rebuilding structures, as well as communities.
In the wake of incredible devastation; compassion, generosity, commitment, and hope remain strong.
I was able to get a first hand view of the damaged roadway connecting Avalon to the Townsends Inlet Bridge. Â Even today, the waves were breaking over the rock wall. Â This has been an on going issue- well before the storm. Â It was not that unusual to be splashed on your way to the bridge!
According to an article in today’s Atlantic City Press, the road will likely be closed until spring.
There will be live music and family activities throughout the shopping districts in Avalon and Stone Harbor– including the “grand” parade at 6:30pm Saturday!

Power Play Realty will once again participate in the Festival of Trees. Creatively decorated trees and wreaths will be on display at the Whitebrier Motor Boat Club on 21st Street, Avalon . Bidding begins on Wednesday at 5pm; with winning bids announced after the town tree lighting Friday night.
