I was lucky with the timing of my morning walk (between 2 storms). Â Beautiful views!

Heat Wave
I took this picture last Friday- the dedicated Stone Harbor lifeguards were bundled up and using the umbrella to block the chilly wind!
Warmer summer temperatures have returned 🙂

Osprey
On my beach walks, I am able to observe the “ultimate hunters” at work- the osprey.I watch them dive into the ocean, emerge with a fish securely in their talons, and then fly overhead toward the marsh.
The “ultimate scavengers” (seagulls) follow close behind- just in case the fish manages to wiggle free!
For more information,
and to view the Osprey Cam, visit the Wetlands Institute web site.

Under the Dome?
The sea breeze is often credited for preventing “weather” from ruining a beach day. Â Must be the case again today.
Rain all around…but not in Avalon or Stone Harbor  🙂

Summer Solitude
A major perk of our low key 7 mile island: Â the ability to find a quiet spot even during the busy tourist season.
There are numerous natural areas frequented by more birds than people!
Enjoy the weekend.
