The flowering pear trees along Dune Drive have shed their white flowers; now full with bright green leaves.

Time for the flowering cherry trees to steal the show!

What is that black furry thing in the distance?  Nope, not a cat!

While reaching for my phone to take a picture, another skunk crosses the street right in front of me.

I backed up as he/she looked my way…but of course still wanted to get the picture!

It was a relief to reach the beach and breathe in fresh, salt air 🙂

The ratio of birds to people still favors the birds…but will change soon!

Beautiful morning on the beach…

Beach walkers naturally take in their surroundings- and there’s always plenty to see.

Because I have sea glass hoarding down to a science 😉  it’s time to diversify with sand dollars.

The island is returning to life.

More lights are on in my neighborhood. Beach tractors are grooming the sand.

The trees in the business district are blooming.  Lawns are manicured, and flower beds mulched.

Beach tags booths are open. Outside furniture is upright on sun decks.

We are ready!

After a few days of bright sun and moderate temperatures, we are back to chilly rain.
