The preferred and more typical sea shore snow storm.Â
Our public works department cleared the roads early this morning, and the sun is handling the mid-day melt.
Beautiful on the beach this morning. Shades of white, gray, and black- in contrast with the colors in the sky. More pictures posted on Twitter: http://twitter.com/AnnDelaneyBeach

Yes, the temperatures dropped, and winds are still gusting over 30 mph, but the bright sunshine was the deciding factor for a walk on the beach before work.
Bundled up, walking close to the dunes (to block the NW wind), and turning my face toward the sun…it wasn’t that bad 😉
I did not wear gloves to work today…an act of solidarity for those participating in the Polar Bear Plunge in Sea Isle City ;)  Brrrrrr!
As mentioned on Twitter, Fred’s Tavern in Stone Harbor is promoting a “Last Call” weekend prior to closing for renovations. The new and improved facility will re-open in early spring- serving both FOOD and drink. The package goods store will remain open during the project.
Hold on to your hats as you walk along the beach! Enjoy the weekend.
If you are coming to the beach for President’s weekend, bring several layers.
The sun is out and temperatures are heading in the right direction…but there is a definite “sea breeze”. The closer you are to the ocean, the more layers you will need!
Worth bundling up for the view. See you on the beach 😉
The wind direction determines the route for my morning walk.
A west or northwest wind? Definitely on the beach close to the dunes.Â
Today’s gusty “spring like” south winds created cooler temperatures by the ocean. A nice push while walking north, but I opted for less resistance training on the return.
The street walk gives me a chance to check out homes- a favorite pass time of course. But I have to allow extra time to close banging storm doors and rescue wayward trash cans!
No news or updates to report…just a peaceful picture of the beach and ocean.
101st Street beach pavilion in Stone Harbor, NJ.
Noticed a few more lights on in the homes around the island this weekend. Property owners are down to escape the snow and check on things.  Avalon and Stone Harbor will be even more active for President’s weekend.
Chocolates and flowers are great…but a beach house is even better 🙂
Enjoy the weekend and improving weather.

Saturday Sights
Yesterday’s storm left many “treasures” along the beach- sea glass, conch shells, and a plastic deck chair??
Enjoy the weekend!
