Spotted this mega sand castle on my morning walk. The beach tractor weaved around the sculpture so it could stay intact.
It must have been built last evening- after the rain.
Better weather today- cloudy early, then sun returns later in the day.

Oh our “boys” could soooo do that!!
The sand castle looks very impressive. It must have been nice walking on the beach with this nice weather we had after the storm.
I agree!
I saw this in Stone Harbor too. It was up for a couple of days when I discovered it and it didn’t have as much detail as your picture does, but it was still really impressive. My boyfriends Mother was talking to the guys who made it and they used a bunch of shovel ends to make the walls, it didn’t actually look as hard as I thought it would be. It was also well constructed and far enough from the high tides to last a week or so. It was probably still there until Irene knocked it down yesterday. Boo to Irene!!!
Tomorrow will be a good day to build a post Irene sand castle
Thanks for the info on this work of art.
