Saturday- Beach Update

  I was anxious to see the condition of the beach this morning.  The beach path at 120th Street in Stone Harbor is completely filled in with sand.

 

 

 

The dunes look different- beach grass covered with a layer of sand. 

 

 

 

Major damage to the dunes at 111th Street (looking north from “Nun’s Beach”). The walkway used to be on top of a large dune.  Now the ocean is running underneath.  Sad…
