Last Minute Vacation?

A tenant mix up: they thought their rental started NEXT Saturday.  They had no idea of the mistake until we called them yesterday and again today wondering why they hadn’t checked in.

If you know anyone interested in an immediate vacation in Avalon, please contact me.  For pictures and additional information:  25 W 31st Street, Avalon NJ

Back to Work

Yesterday was the last day of vacation for visiting family.  The early rain was a concern. Thankfully, the sun appeared in time for a quick walk along the beach (and the obligatory photo on the lifeguard stand).

The radar looked promising enough to continue with our plans for the water park and Wildwood boardwalk.  A few sprinkles while we took a lunch break, but otherwise, a decent day.

Morey’s does such a great job with their water parks/piers.  Everything is clean and well organized.  All of the “kids”  had a blast.  Some of us are feeling our age today, though…  😉

What a View!

I had the opportunity to preview this property today:

77- 39th Street, Avalon NJ

Access to the house is essentially through the beach path- a very private setting.

I walked up the outside stairs to the deck, and was immediately in awe of the view and location.

The views are incredible facing east and south (the dune line is set way back looking south- nothing to obstruct the dunes and ocean vistas).      Click Here to View Listings

$5,300,000 with architect plans for inspiration.

OR, purchase with the adjacent vacant lot along First Avenue to allow for guest quarters over a separate garage… and a huge pool.  $7,500,000 for package.

For more information regarding this or other Avalon, Stone Harbor properties for sale, please contact me:   ann@anndelaney.com

I appreciate your interest!

Family Time

I know we are so fortunate to live and work at the shore year round.  Yet, when family members are visiting, it can be a challenge to juggle the demands of peak season business with the fun activities.

Yesterday, I was able to leave the office by 4pm and catch up with everyone on the beach (just in time for a nice sea breeze!)

On the agenda later this week: bay and ocean kayaking, Morey’s water park, and the Wildwood boardwalk.  If I look a bit weary at the office…you will understand 🙂

This made me smile 😉

Summer Weekend

A bit overcast this morning for our busy change-over day.  How can you tell it’s a rental change over day?  Every other car has bikes attached to the back and a kayak on top 😉

Villa Maria- Nuns’ Beach

The stately Villa Maria by the Sea retreat house celebrates its Diamond Jubilee Year in 2012.

As a special thank you to the community, the Sisters are opening their summer home to the public on Saturday July 21st from 11am to 1pm, and again on Wednesday, August 22nd.

Tour the huge beach front building and manicured grounds, and catch up with the wonderful women in residence.

Oh, and don’t go with empty pockets.  You will be “encouraged” to purchase Nuns’ Beach wear, or make a kind donation 😉

Solitude in July

A major perk of our low key island: even in July, you can still find quiet sections along the water.   This was my view yesterday…a great back drop while reading a book.

Aren’t They Baby Clams??

I asked a knowledgeable Twitter friend to provide more information about the mini clams abundant this summer along the water’s edge. She responded the same day with a helpful post on her blog:  Beach Chair Scientist
