Every Memorial Day weekend, seasonal owners and tenants waited in a long line to pick up their Comcast equipment.
Last May, Comcast set up a temporary trailer by the Avalon Community Hall to accommodate local customers after relocating their store to Rio Grande (outside of Wildwood).
For 2017, all business with Comcast must be arranged on line, by phone, or in the Rio Grande store: Â 1500 Route 47, Suite C12, Rio Grande, NJ 08242 Â (800) 266-2278.
Why, yes… that’s an eagle on the beach!
While we stayed closer to the dunes so as not to startle the bird, a woman walked on to the beach and along side of the jetty with hardly a glance at this unique site. Â Maybe she thought it was just a BIG seagull 😉

The beach replenishment project continues in Avalon, NJ.
As of Tuesday, May 2nd, the crew was activity pumping sand and creating a new beach on 15th Street.

For Spring Cleaning:
Bulk Trash Pick Up- in Avalon May 5th through May 14th; and Stone Harbor by Monday May 15th.

Beach Tags:
Purchase seasonal tags for $23 each by May 31st. Â Cost increases to $28 as of June 1st. Â Tags are reciprocal between Avalon and Stone Harbor.
Rental Property Owners:
Confirm your spring cleaning, change over cleaning, lawn and pool maintenance, and weed control. Â Take stock of amenities (kitchen supplies, bed covers, pillows, throw rugs, and deck furniture). All rental properties must be registered and pass an annual licensing inspection with the Borough.
General Tips:
Service your HVAC systems, vacuum return registers, clean ceiling fans, rinse out trash cans, wash deck furniture, clean the outside shower, buy new clothes pins for the line, clean the grill, and wash windows/screens.
The warm weather inspires us all to get moving on our “to do” list!
