Open for Business

Our agency is open 7 days a week, year round.

So I’m always happy  to see “signs of summer” from my office window!

Across the street: Avalon Coffee (weekends), 29th Street Deli, and Hoy’s 5 & 10 are open.

And, as island residents, we are glad to expand our meal options with the recent openings of Mack’s Pizza, The Watering Hull, and Springers 🙂

Welcome back!

Beach Treasures

I joke that sand dollars “find me”!

So I will share the wealth around Avalon and Stone Harbor for Easter weekend  😎

If you are on the island and find one of the sand dollars, please share a picture on Twitter or post a comment here.

Thanks for joining the scavenger hunt!

Back to Work

A beach break for me is also an opportunity to experience life on the “other side” of a vacation rental.

Like most tenants, we hoped to check in early 😉  And we appreciated the quick and friendly response from the rental agency to our questions.

I returned to my desk today ready to face another busy summer season in Avalon and Stone Harbor!

Quick Break Before the Season

This is my “Out of the Office” message for next week.

Heading to a beach in South Carolina for some R & R before the busy season begins here 😎

We are renting a condo, which provides the opportunity to better understand the perspective of a “tenant”.

I will be back at my desk in one week…and will post a few pictures on Twitter in the meantime.

1979

AnnSept2017A busy year.

In addition to several other life changing events, I obtained my New Jersey real estate license in 1979.

40 YEARS AGO (gulp), and yet it can seem like yesterday.

The length of time actively selling homes on the island is especially striking when:

I realize I’ve sold a particular property several times over the years.

The “small children” of my customers are now married with children of their own.

I have the opportunity to work with the 3rd generation -it’s their turn to make a purchase.

It’s a true privilege to maintain almost lifelong relationships with buyers, sellers, and tenants.

Maybe even worth the getting old part 😉

More Signs of Spring

New green growth on the dune grass…and a warmer(ish) south east breeze.

Old Blog Posts

I started my beach blog in 2006.

While reading through a few of my original posts, I found so many that remain relevant in 2019!

What Are You Saving?

Have you been thinking about a 2nd home purchase? Are you waiting for the ideal time in the market?  How many seasons have passed in the meantime?

If there are options within your financial means, what are you really saving?  Time is our most valuable assest…why not enjoy the benefits of your hard work?

This concept was clear to me the other night as I kayaked on the bay after work (instead of going to the grocery store as planned!).  The water was calm as glass. The moon was rising on one side, and the sun setting on the other.  The sky was pink and orange, and reflected off the bay.  The birds around the marsh were settling in for the evening. What a perfect way to spend my time!
