Shades of blue on the beach…and colorful leaves in the high dunes. Â Oh, and a few dolphins swimming by!
Nice weather for the re-scheduled Avalon Seafood Festival. Today and tomorrow: 30th Street and the beach.

The photos and news reports from last year make me emotional. Â It’s hard to re-read my blog posts, too:
Monday (Sandy)
Tuesday Night (home)
An article in today’s Press of Atlantic City is also very moving- an Ocean City resident apologizing for not evacuating : LINK to article  An important message for all shore residents.
Grateful to enjoy an ordinary and beautiful fall day 1 year later!
A “famous” scarecrow on duty at Seashore Ace yesterday 😉
He was greeting (and startling) shoppers during the Harvest Festival on 96th Street, Stone Harbor.
Next weekend, the rescheduled Seafood Festival will take place at 30th and Avalon Avenue, Avalon.
Low key…small…friendly…beautiful…and surrounded by water. Â Of course, we would want to vacation there!
Just returned from an amazing vacation on Nevis, West Indies. Â We were pampered at the Four Seasons, and challenged by adventures around the island. My beach walks will seem especially calm after hiking in the rain forest!
Added bonus every time we travel: experiencing the value of service and hospitality as a tourist. Always helpful to be “on the other side” – a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow.
Will write a more detailed post after I catch up at work.
In the meantime…
I wonder if the laundry will go away if I hang this on the front door??
🙂
